Country Bob’s Sauce Review & Giveaway
Ever since we started searching for healthier options here at Grandma Juice’s house, we’ve scoured the internet and store shelves, looking for all things that may help with my tummy issues and Ethan’s allergies. The poor kid is always miserable. This week we found Country Bob’s Sauce.
And, we were happy to see it is made with all gluten free ingredients! Does that mean it’s a bland, flavorless alternative? Heck no! It has a sweet and tangy flavor that went great with the meatloaf we made and the crock-pot chicken legs! (Ethan and his chicken legs!) Grandpa Juice over here can hardly wait for it to warm up a bit so we can get out the grill and put it to the ‘grilled ribs test’!

Here’s what our friends at Country Bob’s say “In 1968 Country Bob perfected the sauce of his dreams. After years of giving the sauce to friends and family he began to sell it in 1977. The reaction was overwhelming just as it is today. Almost everyone who tries Country Bob’s Sauce becomes a lifelong user. And why not, it is the perfect complement to practically any meal set on your table.” (True ‘dat Bob, True ‘dat)
It passes the “I can pronounce that’ test too! (If you can’t pronounce an ingredient, it’s probably NOT going to pass the test) Ingredients: Tomato concentrate (tomato paste and water) high fructose corn syrup, vinegar, sugar, molasses, salt, onion powder, caramel color, garlic powder, tamarind, corn starch, natural flavors, and other spices. PASSED!
First up, our Crock-Pot Chicken Legs:
In crock-pot place all ingredients.
2 lbs Chicken Legs
1 TBSP Garlic Powder
1 TBSP Seasoned Salt
1/2 Bottles of Country Bob’s Sauce
1/2 Cup of Water
Cook on High for 2 hours covered. Turn down heat to low and cook for another 2 hours. DONE! And… yummy!
Next, we used one of Country Bob’s recipes and made meatloaf! We LOVE our handed down meatloaf recipe, so I was a bit nervous this was not going to be a hit. Guess what? Totally was! It tasted different then our meatloaf but everyone loved it and said we can now make both. Kid tested, Grandma Juice approved!
2 lbs *Lean Ground Beef
1/4 Chopped Onion
12 Saltine Crackers (crushed… with Ethan’s help, of course)
2 Eggs, beaten
3/4 Cup of Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce
Salt/Pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients in bowl and mix well. Place mixture in loaf pans and bake at 350 for 1 hour or until meat is thoroughly cooked. Remove from oven and spread desired amount of Country Bob’s sauce on top. Place back in oven for approx. 15 minutes or until sauce on top starts to get ‘bubbly’ (that’s my very unofficial timer) Serve and eat!
So… who’s ready to give Country Bob’s Sauce a try with your favorite recipes? He was generous enough to give not 1 but 2 Grandma Juice readers a chance to win 2 bottles of your own to make yummy dishes! That’s right! 2 readers will each get 2 bottles! He’s cool like that. And, we will thank him properly, right?
You know what to do! Fill out the handy dandy Rafflecopter form below to enter Country Bob’s Sauce Review Giveaway and you’re good to go! And… as always, remember… NO CHEATING!
